The Dawn of the Quiet Beta

Dez-Game has entered a new phase. I’ve put in enough to justify having a small group of close friends test it in what I’m calling a “Quiet Beta”. This means that it’s up online, but hidden and password protected. Reason being, It really doesn’t have enough in it yet to justify being available to the general public; Last thing I want is somebody to see it in a fairly empty state and judge it as a finished product and not come back.

Still, progress is progress…

So I’ve been Meaning to add stuff to Dez-Game for Quite a while now. Even though I haven’t been working on it, I have been thinking about it a lot, so when I sat down today, I knew exactly what I needed to achieve. What I didn’t realize, was how much effort it would take, and how long. I’m sitting here frantically typing this up, knowing that I need to leave for work in about 8 minutes, but knowing that I achieved what I wanted to today.

In case you’re reading this, and you don’t know about Dez-Game, it’s a little Javascript clicking game that I started to make at Uni for a HTML subject…lets just say I did things in true Dezonus Spirit, and WAY overdid what I needed to do. The result, however, is something that will only require a couple of days before I’m happy to publish online as a discreet beta Release.┬áIf you like Cookie Clicker, but think it’s a bit too simple, you will Love Dez Game…But I’m getting side-tracked…

Lets just say…there’s a lot of work to make a save string for a game with multiple buildings that give multiple resources…
